Alara’s ‘Active’ organic muesli, part of their ‘Into the Garden’ range, has been created especially for those who lead active and demanding lifestyles. Each ingredient in the muesli has been specially selected to help our bodies prepare and recover from sport, exercise and other physical activity.
From using amaranth grain, which is higher in protein than usual grains and so helps with muscle recovery, along with brazil nuts for their high selenium content and to act as a powerful anti-oxidant, to yacon root for its pro-biotic properties and ability to help the body remove toxins, and pumpkin seeds - a source of important minerals such as zinc (needed to help maintain a healthy immune system) and magnesium (which helps energy utilization by muscles); no stone has been left unturned in this unique and tasty breakfast cereal.
Not only will tucking into a bowl of Alara’s muesli prepare you for physical stresses but you’ll also be helping the environment. Alongside this, Alara have created a community organic garden on their company site and have committed themselves to becoming carbon neutral by 2010. This dedication to the environment has led to Alara recently named as ‘Green Company of the Year’ at the Fast Growth Business Awards and Alex, the director, has just been named as a London Leader of Sustainability, given the job of encouraging others go green and help save the planet.
