This is my story
Hi I had gastric band surgery in August 2005 then I fell pregnant one month later! Obviously I was delighted but it wasn't what had been planned.
I lost two stone in the first two months which was great but because I was pregnant I couldn't have my band filled to restrict the amount of food taken.
As my pregnancy progressed I got bigger and put the two stone back on and some. I had a hopeless craving for chocolate and I just felt depressed and that the band had been a waste of time.
Then nine months later I had a beautiful baby boy and two months later I was allowed to have my band filled I couldn't wait I thought this is it, the weight is going to fall off now but this wasn't the case. I have lost two and a half stone since June but the progress is so slow. I am getting married next year and I really don't want to be looking like this. Sometimes I think I am just doomed to be fat forever.
