This is my story
Hi Im Linda a 47 year old single mum to a 17 year old type 1 diabetic son, I m A singer in a female duo (which has been going for 26 years) and also a national health quit smoking advisor.
I recently went to see Dr Shaw Somers at St Richards hospital in Chichester, where he told me I need to have a gastric bypass, Im very grateful this has been offered to me on NHS but Im terrified I won't come throught the op.
I dont know anyone that has had this surgery, and what i do know you could write on a postage stamp.
Im currently waiting for a letter to tell me when to come for surgery (gulp)
but all i can think about is my son being left on his own.
I just want to talk to someone who has had the bypass for reaccurance I suppose. Well thats my moaning over it and to anyone who reads this Nice to Meet you x
Just got the phone call operation to be done 16th march keep you fingers crossed for me PLEASE X
So sorry its taken me a long time to update, But I went for pre op on 11th March and because of chest pains surgery has been delayed till Ive had an anagram which there is a 2/3 month waiting list for, so hay ho whats another few months of being a blob when ive been a blob for 47 years. But at least my mate Salsha68 Jane is doing brilliant keep it up girl Ill keep you all informed on heart check.Ok fingers crossed everyone angigram this thursaday 14th june chat soon x
