This is my story
Married, professional woman, two children. Put on weight gradually, with each child,when stopped smoking, after every christmas.......
Had my 50th birthday and saw my mortality, and didn't like what I saw. I knew I could diet as I'd done it so many times before, but keeping it off, that was the problem. Thought long and hard about the lap band surgery,scary and the cost!! I made the decision and went for it. I am now 1 week post op and improving each day. I have lost just over 1 stone since my first consultation. I am trying not to get too wrapped up in rapid weight loss and going day to day.
