This is my story
My mum lives in Scotland,my father in India (separated 1968). i was raised by my asain grandparents from the age of 5 years - 10 years. I returned to the UK and lived with my mum who had custody untill I left home at 17.
I met my 1st husband in 1989 who i discovered was a cocaine addict, this consequently let to a very difficult relationship - We co-owned a property and I supported the pair of us, I lived with his constant lies, his threats, and mental abuse. I finally had enough found the strength to leave but I was left with 1000's of debt, and also had to apply for an injuction against him, and a shell of the former me.
I built my confidence and self esteem though time and got a job as civil servant. I met my husband at work and knew it was love at first sight. We have been together since 1998. I experienced an etopic pregnancy in 1999 which was aboslutely devestating at our1st attempt at starting a family and I failed. The guilt, remorse, I will never forgot it! With 1.5 tubes I had to pick up the pieces and start again. I was blessed with 2 more pregnancys which resulted with 2 children aged 20 months, 5.5 years.
With my first born2001 I developed gest. diabities butI managed to get from 13st to 11st 6lbs which took me a couple of years. In 2005 i had my 2nd child and my weight went from 11st 6lbs to 14st 7lbs.
Since then I have yoyo'd with my weight, I have no time for my self. I get down and have suffered with post natal depression with both my children.
My motivation is at my lowest, I am subscribed to a gym, I work 2 days a week but 5 days a week I am at home with the baby.
My husband is very selfish and will continue to buy biscuits and cakes and store them in the cupboard. Food is my comfort and my hands just have a will of their own. I've joined WW but even that I've lost interest in. I wanted to try something different and my mum swears by your website Anne. So I thought I'd give it a try.
