This is my story
I am a single mother to my little boy who is 5. I have been obese for most of my life. In fact I cannot remember ever being slim. This year I discovered LighterLife and have so far lost 6 and a half stones. I was 18 stone but am now a healthy 11.5 stones. I still have a little more to go but feel loads better. I feel more confident and optimistic about my life. However, I have a very difficult relationship with food and turn to it when I am lonely, sad, happy........ I will have to work hard to maintain my weight for the rest of my life.
I am currently training to become a LighterLife counsellor for the Derwentside area in the North East. I feel so passionately about the programme and what it has done for me that I want to be able to helps others who have the same battles with food. It really does work and I know this as it has worked for me! I was a size 20/22 and can now get into a size 12.......I think the last time I would have got into clothes this size I would have been about 8 years old. I never dreamed it would have been possible to lose the weight and to do it so easily.....I only started the programme in Jan 07!!!!!
