This is my story
Hello,
I had a band fitted in January 2007 - lost a stone or so then fell pregnant in March 07, which is something I had wanted for years and part of the reason for the band in the first place, so I couldn't be too upset about having to have my band deflated after such a short time.... I suffer from PCOS and was told that falling pregnant was very unlikely due to weight problems, so you could say the band has already been a success for me in one way and I keep thinking how lucky I am to have the band in place ready for the weight loss following the birth of my baby. I don't think I could have had it fitted after having the baby for fear of it going wrong!
I'm due to have my baby on 15th Dec 07 and I am really looking forward to getting my band filled as soon as possible (Jan 08 I'm hoping), so I can finally get on with losing the weight I was already carrying and now the extra 4 stone from the baby munchies!!! I want to be a fun yummy mummy not a fat frumpy one!
