This is my story
Oct-07 Came across this website today in my panic about having signed up for gastric banding on Dec20.
I wrote part of my story in a message earlier today which in itself feels a big step forward especially when Karen (my first buddy!) replied with such lovely words of support.
I'm 43, weigh 16st and started dieting at 25 when I weighed 10st and thought I was terribly overweight. Blimey, now I'd give my right arm to weigh 10st - however the reality is I'd probably have to give both arms and a leg to get anywhere near 10st.
Anyway, my intention is to keep a diary on here pre and post banding. Right now I'm anxious about immediately after the operation, living on liquids for a month so anxious that I'm currently eating like a condemned man having his last meal.
I am reassured that all of these feelings are quite "normal".
