This is my story
I always thought i had a weight problem from being a teen, however when i look back at pics of me in early 20's i was tiny!! pity i never believed it then or made the most of being a size 12.... Had my 1st daughter at 29yrs my starting weight was 9st 6lbs (i'm sure i'll never see that wight again!!)
Every time i've gone up into the next stone bracket, i've been soooo shocked and thought my weight would stabilize and get no higher (what a fool i am!!) over the years I've gone through 10st, 11..12..(2nd daughter)..13..14 and now they weighed me at 15st during pre op last week.....h..e..l..p!!!
I've been planning to have this gastric band for the past 2yrs, but had a long, hard battle to stop smoking, i've eventually stopped (apart from odd ones) and now have my op date ...22nd Jan '09. I'm really excited, but scared too....i don't cope with pain well.
I'm now 46 (aaargh!) single mother to 2 beautiful daughters aged 16 & 9yrs
Now i want to start coming down through the stones..... wish me luck x
