This is my story
December 2007...
At most I have weighed over 20 stone. This gradually crept on after having my children in the 80's. Since re-marrying 5 years ago my state of health has seriously worsened (nothing to do with the new hubby!) and so my GP put me up for Gastric surgery. On 17th November I had a Sleeve Gastrectomy - 80% of my stomach was removed. I can only eat very small amounts at a time. After only a few weeks I am down to 18 stone I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! I can't imagine what I will look and feel like in 12 months - oh to be able to go swimming again and cycling - and not to buy all my clothes in Evans or Anne Harvey - WOW!!!
09/01/08 UPDATE..... Feeling great have lost over 3 stone - the equivilant to my 4 year old grandson! Long may it continue. Check my blog for latest news.
13/03/08 UPDATE.....Just about at the 4 stone mark - had a bit of a hic-cup but back on track now - did you know that 4 stone is around 224 packs of butter?
29/04/08 UPDATE.....Having recently moved to a new life in Surrey I have just broke through the 100kg barrier having lost just over 30kg in total so far - check blog for more details.
