This is my story
I am a 36 year old mum of 5 beautiful, gorgeous children. I became overweight after the birth of my 1st son who is now 15.
I have tried all the diets available and failed. I am at my heaviest now (19 stone 13 3/4lbs) and am booked into the Alexandra Hospital on Sat 19 Jan 08to have a gastric band fitted. I am really excited!
I can't wait to take my children swimming, instead of paying for swimming lessons, as i won't put on a swimming costume. I just want a bit more fun and to be able to run around the park with them, instead of watching them play while i sit on a bench!
Had my band fitted 3 days in and fell great! Best decision i ever made!
08.09.08 - For everyone comtemplating being banded - go for it!!!! I may not have lost an enormous amount of weight - my expectations were too high i am the happiest i have ever been in my life and wish i would have done it yrs ago!!
