This is my story
Hi my name is eli, I have been fat for as long as I can remember, and dieted all my life with no success. I have gone through the teasing and bullying at school (which made me eat more). I have no self confidence, my self concept in very low and I have suffered from depresson on and of for the past 20 years. I have worn joints and am in constant pain because of my wieght. I split up with my husband just over 3 years ago (and the weight went up!) However, we are trying to give our marriage a go again and have just moved back in together.
I don't know what 'clicked' but suddenly I found my wieght hitting the 17 stone and decided enough was enough, for once I was going to do something for me! so I paid to get a gastric band inserted in June and so far have lost 3 and a half stone. the weight has not come off as quickly as I had hoped it would, and I have had eating problems on the way. would love to hear from anyone in the same position.
