This is my story
Hi all,
I was widowed at the age of 48 yrs. My four children and I were totally devastated. I didn't want to go on and ate and ate to comfort myself, because I missed my husband so much. A month after he died, my eldest daughter gave birth to a little girl with major conjenital heart defects and for months we didn't know if she would survive. This made the comfort eating even worse. My sister in law died 9months later, at the age of 44 years. My other daughter had a little boy, who was later diagnosed as severely autistic. I couldn't understand why this was happening to my family - it was a terrible time for us all.
I had enjoyed amateur dramatics with my husband Jim and 5 years after he died, at the age of 53 yrs, I decided to go to college to study drama. I passed my exams with honours and was lucky to find an agent who would take me on :o)
I got my first film role in 2003 and appeared in Unleashed with Morgan Freeman, Jet Li and Bob Hoskins.
