This is my story
I was originally having a bypass then I changed my mind and was having a band.
In the end I ended up having something called a vertical sleeve gastrectomy. So far so good feel like I made the right decision.
My local NHS in the West Midlands paid for the operation (very lucky as its a postcode lottery in the UK) also very grateful. I had it done towards the end of February 2009 with a lovely surgeon called Mr Amir Khan.
I wish everyone luck with their weight loss journeys no matter how you choose to do it as having weight loss surgery is not the easy way out no matter which operation you choose, because at the end of the day you are the one that has to live with the decision and it will not fix head hunger either.
I will keep my blog updated on a regular basis/diary on this site !
