This is my story
I have always been over weight and been on every diet.I lost weight on the diets but always put the weight back on again. I Had a gastric band fitted july 07 and lost 6 stone i felt and looked great.A year after my band was fitted i was taken into hosp as i could not keep food or drink down. My band had slipped and i had to have it removed. Iam so upset as the band worked for me and was my best friend.I have now put 2 stone back on and dont know what to do now.
After putting all my weight back on iam now having another band fitted on 25th April at St Richards hosp Chichester.Very nervous but want it done more then anything as i know a band works for me!.
*update*2nd Band removed* 12.6.2010* :-(
Band slipped again after 1 year. Tried to have it repositioned but couldnt be done safely.
Hoping to have bypass in 6 months time when things have settled down.
Guy Slater and his team at chichester are the best x
