This is my story
I have decided that i will have a gastric bypass. Something that I have not taken lightly.
I have been overweight most of my adult life. There is not a diet that I have not been on. I have yo yo dieted for as long as i can remember. The weight comes off the weight goes on (plus a little bit more). The last diet I went on was Lighterlife I lost a lot of weight, it cost a lot of money and guess what I put it all back on plus more when i started to eat food.
I asked my GP about weight loss surgery and how much did she think it would cost me. To my delight she asked me why i wanted to pay for it and i thought that it was the ony way.
I am so lucky to have a GP who fought my corner and won and i am able to have surgery on the NHS
I have had two consultation at Luton and Dunstable hospital and if all goes well I should have my surgery at the end of June/July. I can not waite......
