This is my story
Been over weight for a long time now. Tried every diet ever invented, slimming pills, hypnosis, food replacement sachets you name it ive tried it. I loose weight then put it back on and more. I'm thinking of having a gastric band it wasn't something i had ever considered before I thought it was the last resort it would prove that I couldn't do it on my own and that I was a failure. But Ive changed my mind. I can't do it on my own and I need to think of it as a tool to help me. my doctor has been great over the years and has been suggesting this for a while. I now feel ready to try. Fingers crossed!
Consultant wouldn't do band only gastric bypass, after a lot of thought i decided to go ahead with it. Had gastric Bypass end September 09.
