Are you one of the many who's terrified of having surgery?
Hundreds are just too scared yet hate being fat... what scares you? And how do you feel about diets - can they ever be as effective and long-lasting? ...

This is my story
my name is beverley, i am a married(although my husband lives seperately)mother of two. ive never been on the small side, my weight was constantly ridiculed at secondary school by boys. i remember first noticing i was a size 16 at 16. during the time i spent alone in a flat from the 17 to 19 years i nearly starved as i was not able to look after myself properly. i got married pregnant and ate till i was heavy. during pregnancy with second child i got up to 16 4lb. then i lost weight by eating carrots and tuna then big bombshell.. got diagnosed schizophrenic. and put on weight with meds up to 19 4lbs. i have also got an under active thyroid. although meds are now better for me mentally it is really difficult to lose weight. i have lost some over last couple of years but when i get episodes of illness i eat. its not the losing of the weight its keeping it off ive had success at a few diet clubs, but always put weight back on which is like a vicious cycle.
