This is my story
I have probably lost about 100 stone in my lifetime with the amount of diets I've been on. I normally loose about 2-3 stone depending on which diet I'm on but the long term result is always the same it will go back on plus a little bit more.
Currently looking into having a band and saving madly to get it done - I'm aware it's not an easy option or a quick fix and have really been insired by some of you guys on this site. I need to get my life and confidence back on course together with improving my long term health.
I have never actually been able to speak to someone face to face who has been banded so if anyone is reasonably near to Essex and would like to meet up or someone who needs some support let me know.
September 2009
Had my gastric band done on Sunday 20th (the first day of the rest of my life) at the Chelsfield Park Hospital in Kent by Dr El Hasani, I am now on my second day post op and everything seems to be going well. A little sore but other than that all ok. Not going back to work until next Monday - no one knows there so gonna get myself well. They think I am doing the Cambridge with the add a meal. Not ready to tell everyone yet I will wait and see what happens.
