This is my story
I am a 44 yr old very happily married woman with 3 children, 20, 19, & 12 all boys, 3 labradors - all boys also - lol. I am an IT Support Manager. I have been overweight for 20 years since the birth of my first son. I had gestastional diabetes with the first pregnancy and put on 5 1/2 stone before it was diagnosed. After the birth i started my first diet - the Cambridge Diet - and after a couple of months was pregnant again and there began 20 years of yo yo dieting. Looking back i am convinced that had i not gone on that first diet and just let my body adjust naturally i would not be in the position i am in now. I finally had a gastric band fitted last week and after the initial discomfort am feeling great and very positive about the future. I have so far lost 9lb and know there is a long way to go but believe that this time it is going to work.
