This is my story
im jo , im divorced with 2 children aged 15 & 12 altho i have a new partner now whos fantastic ! ive struggled with my weight for as long as i can remember , classic yoyo dieter and attempted every diet imaginable , some worked some didnt , however at 42 i was the heaviest ive ever been in my life! i really didnt have it in me to attempt another faddy diet only for me to loose and then put bk on 6 months later , so i opted for weight loss surgery , i had my gastric band fitted on the 22nd of july 2010 , i was both nervous & excited but , felt id reached a stage in my life where as ,if i didnt take this step whilest feeling like this, i never would , it didnt feel like i could be the real me until i got this weight off , plus i was startin to feel the unpleasent changes to my body whilest carrying the extra weight i.e aching legs,ankles etc , so i took the bull by the horns and improved my body, self esteem and health !that was over a year ago now and i can honestly say, having the gastric band was the best thing ive done for myself in my entire life ! im not at the end of my journey yet, but im within touching distance, im 4 and a half stone lighter and feeling the best iv felt for a very long time ! well recomend the procedure !
